Iran's national ice hockey team became the runner-up in the Asian Championship after failing in the final.

According to Iranmall Public Relations, Iran's women's national team faced the strong and experienced Thai team in the final match on Sunday evening, May 7, 2023, and they were stopped with a score of 3-1 against the Thai national ice hockey team.

 After defeating the teams of India, Kuwait and Kyrgyzstan in the preliminary stage and defeating the UAE team in the elimination stage, the representatives of  Iran made it to the semi-final meeting and battle with Singapore and were able to win the fifth valuable victory in the first appearance in Asia.

All the training and preparatory camp of the Iranian women's and men's ice hockey teams are held at the Iranmall ice rink.
